The stunning setting surrounded by lush vegetation on the Gaafu Alifu Atoll, a natural lake, golden beaches, and panoramic ocean views, is perfect for parents wanting to enjoy the natural beauty of the island, but is also an exciting playground for kids, with a huge array of indoor and outdoor activities.

The little ones can go wild as they explore the island in a way only they know how. Think nature walks. Think treasure hunts. Think board games and educational activities. Imaginations are there to be stretched and memories to be made. And if you want to keep your ears, we won’t mention the two karaoke rooms…

Beginning indoors, Skillz Sports Centre is the resorts’ teens only area, offering a range of entertaining activities including snooker, table tennis, various board games and a golf simulator. There is also The Pullman Kids’ Club, Playground, offering supervised activities for the little ones. Inside kids will love the many soft toys, board games and play-doh, whilst outside there is a kids pool and waterslides to enjoy. With fully qualified staff trained to ensure children nurture creativity and imagination, this is the ideal place for little ones to run wild and explore the island.

However, if the teens and little ones are able to be torn away, there are endless outdoor activities to take part in, including nature walks, treasure hunts, and sports for kids of all ages. There is beach volleyball and cycling, whilst Pullman’s naturalist can take families on informative, yet entertaining walks along the beaches, through the vegetation and around the natural lagoon. Kids can learn about the island’s flora and fauna, and how Pullman Maldives preserves the delicate island ecosystem.

A traditional Maldivian dhoni boat can take families for a morning or evening dolphin spotting cruise. The captain sets sail for local habitats, while the marine biologist provides insight into the spinner, bottlenose, spotted and striped dolphins that call the atoll waters home. There is also the chance to spot rays, whale sharks and more!

The Gaafu Alifu Atoll has some of the richest marine life in the Maldives. Kids can take part in guided snorkelling sessions, and, from the age of ten, can join their parents diving, with the hotel’s PADI 5-star dive centre – this is sure to be an amazing experience since The Gaafu Alifu Atoll is the only place where divers can spot up to 13 species of sharks in the water! There is the opportunity to learn more about marine life from the hotel’s very own Marine Biologist, who offers educational talks to children of all ages.

With the children safely occupied, parents can enjoy some peace and quiet on this magical island. They can indulge in spoiling massages at the resort’s overwater Pullman Spa by Phytomer, or take part in sunrise or  sunset yoga.
